ok i have a 95 4.6, i doubt that it was misused as to how i use it. i gave it a tune up, oil change, cleand the maf sensor, cleand the fuel injectors, replaced the fuel filter, n fix coolant leak also, now when i press the gas lightly or sumtimes floor it i hear a sound dat sounds like a flag waving hard or sumtn, not sure if its from inside the engine or on da outside, i dont have da cat either, not sure if that helps95 cougar engine noise?
Sounds like a problem with the serpentine belt95 cougar engine noise?
Maybe a rattle from ping ( pre-igition ). Get a tank full of gas from another station, %26amp; see if it goes away. Just a note, Ford's are notorious for dis-liking BP gas.
